Verify connection
After configuring the device, wait for a short period so the sensor has time to join the network and send its first uplink.
If the collector, WisGate application, and device profile are configured correctly, the device should appear in the collector Overview page.
Check the collector overview
Open the collector dashboard and go to Overview.
Confirm that:
- The configured device appears in the device list.
- The latest reading timestamp updates after an uplink.
- The device status looks healthy.
- Battery, signal, and sensor values are present.
The first reading may take longer depending on the configured Uplink Period. For example, if the uplink period is 1800 seconds, the next message may not arrive immediately.
Check logs if the device does not appear
If the device does not appear in Overview, open the Logs menu and review the collector logs.
Look for messages related to:
- MQTT connection failures
- Unknown APPEUI or APPKEY
- Device join failures
- Payload decode errors
- WisGate application or frequency mismatch
- Missing or invalid uplink messages
Use the log messages to identify which part of the setup needs correction, then repeat the relevant step in Collector installation or Device configuration.
Common checks
- Confirm the device was reset and configured during the 60 second configuration window.
- Confirm the selected profile uses the same APPEUI and APPKEY generated in WisGate.
- Confirm the WisGate application has Auto Add Device enabled.
- Confirm the device band matches the WisGate frequency plan.
- Confirm the collector can connect to the WisGate MQTT broker.
- Confirm the device has power and is within radio range of the WisGate.
